The Gala Dinner will take place at the National Museum of Scotland, where guests will enjoy exclusive access to the Kingdom of the Scots gallery during the reception.

What to do in Edinburgh

  • Walk The Royal Mile

    The Royal Mile is a series of streets forming the main thoroughfare of the Old Town of Edinburgh, Scotland.

    Adam Smith’s statue is located on the Royal Mile situated opposite the City Chambers, Smith’s workplace as Commissioner of Customs.

  • National Galleries Scotland: Portrait

    Opened in 1889 as the world’s first purpose-built portrait gallery, The Portrait Gallery is a seriously understated activity boasting fantastic pieces of artwork (bonus points if you can spot Adam Smith) in one of Edinburgh’s arguably most opulent buildings.

  • Calton Hill

    Climb the steps to Calton Hill for sweeping 360 degree views of Edinburgh. 

  • Canongate Kirkyard

    Visit the burial place of Adam Smith. Following the brass plaques on the floor will guide you to Smith’s grave on the left hand side

Edinburgh is a well-connected and highly walkable city. We highly recommend packing a sturdy pair of shoes to help you truly explore its winding cobblestone closes.
